This opportunity is for a Therapist to provide counseling services in an Outpatient Program to individuals of all ages.
Under guidance of the Supervisor, establish a written goal-specific treatment plan, serve as a resource, collaborating on mental health cases and consulting with colleagues, community individuals, or agencies on cases to assist in providing the highest quality of services.
This position also provides School Based Counseling services in local schools.
School Therapists work on site in schools to assess student needs, provide consultation and education to school personnel, and make referrals.

Outpatient Program duties include: Under the guidance of the supervisor, provide individual therapy and counseling to people of all ages utilizing diversified professional technique including group, marital, family, and play therapy according to training.
Responsible for establishing a written goal-specific treatment plan with the individual within the first two appointments and update TX Plan consistent with state regulations.
Provide professional mental health consultation to community individuals or agencies.
Documents services provided with written reports and up-to-date clinical notes in the chart.
Assist with administering and interpreting various psychological tests and assessment deemed necessary through counseling.
Assist Case Management staff in assuring the highest quality of services to all consumers.
Assist the Crisis staff in arranging voluntary hospitalizations, when necessary.
Attend meetings and participate in staff development trainings.
School Consultation Program duties include: Under the guidance of the supervisor, provide group, individual and play therapy to children and adolescents utilizing diversified professional techniques.
Formulate treatment plans and maintain consumer records.
Collaborate with staff to provide consultation and education to school personnel, community individuals, and agencies.
Complete on-site school mental health assessments for students.
This position also serves as a therapist for Somerset Enhanced Outpatient Program providing backup coverage if needed.
Perform other related duties as required.
Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 am - 4:00 pm, Monday - Friday, with one 12:00 pm - 8:00 pm day (Wed or Thurs).
Hours must be adjusted as needed based upon consumer need.
On occasion, staff may need to work hours outside of the set work week to complete projects, meet work demands or in the event of an emergency.
This position reports to the DBHS Office for work.
Upon hire, new staff begin training and are on probation for 6 months.
New staff may be eligible for a hybrid of on-site and remote work after 3-months of employment.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: A master's degree in psychology or a closely related field.
Other Requirements: PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
