The general role of the Detailer II – Engineering & Automation is to provide detailing and file processing support for a wide range of projects as they progress from concept to installation.
The projects will be in support of a variety of applications for fabrication, machining, and construction.
This individual will work in collaboration with other engineering, shop, and field personnel on multiple projects at once.
The work will be performed primarily in the office, with occasional assignments to the shop and customer sites as needed.
This position will direct and supervise other detailing personnel as assigned.
This individual possesses an advanced understanding of the fabrication process, drafting principles, 3D design, and requires an aptitude and willingness for both hands-on work in the shop or field as well as work in an office setting.
This position must be willing and able to work a flexible schedule to include travel and overtime as needed.
The Detailer II will report to a Senior Detailer or other Engineering Manager as assigned and works primarily out of the Grantsville location.

to track material needs for assigned projects Interpret, create, and maintain a Bill of Materials (BOM) Troubleshoot fabrication, assembly, installation, and equipment issues Follow quality control standards and check lists Design and navigate 3D/2D CAD software and equipment processing software Edit flow diagrams, P&IDs (Process and Instrumentation Diagrams) based on Engineered design Communicate with customers to maintain relationships and provide support and networking opportunities Facilitate problem solving and constructive communication through meetings and trainings as assigned Manage and supervise assigned personnel and ensure effective performance management Other Duties This job posting is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required for this position.

Qualifications: Possess High School Diploma or equivalent 2+ years of steel fabrication or relevant work experience preferred Completion of a relevant 2-3 year technical program in CAD Demonstrated knowledge for the fabrication process, drafting principles, and willingness to perform hands-on work Possess a working knowledge of design principles such as structural clip and moment connections, manufacturability, etc.
preferred Valid driver’s license required Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred Possess relevant training and willingness to remain current regarding industry standards Ability to follow work direction and prioritize assigned tasks Ability to perform mathematical calculations and measurements accurately Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing Ability to work well both independently and as a team Proficient with personal computers to include Microsoft Office Suite Strong experience with software packages such as Inventor, AutoCad, CMS, CAM, EJE, Tekla, or equivalent design software required Ability to meet deadlines Willingness to stretch current abilities to learn new skills Working Conditions Walk/use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects or tools / reach with hands and arms Sit, talk, listen, observe, read, write, and type Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted Additional Eligibility Qualifications Must possess a valid and appropriate state driver’s license prior to employment This position requires the completion of a thorough background and pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
