JOB SUMMARY:
Performs HR related duties on a professional level.
Responsible for the following functional areas: benefits administration, compensation, employee development and performance, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment.
This position will have a set schedule with a 2nd shift presence.
JOB DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Administers various human resource plans and procedures; assists in the development and implementation of policies and procedures.
Administers the compensation program; researches labor market, wage surveys, and industry to determine and maintain appropriate compensation structure.
Monitors the performance evaluation program, provides guidance and support.
Makes recommendations for improvements.
Performs benefits administration to include promotion and increased participation in wellness program.
Performs full cycle recruiting.
Serves as resource for candidates in relation to CSMI, employment opportunities, benefits and other areas of candidate interest.
Assists in creation and evaluation of reports, metrics, and results of department and company-wide employee related areas.
Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of the department and services performed.
Maintains HRIS records and compiles reports from the database.
Troubleshoots HRIS issues and looks for system optimization.
Provides training and direction to end users.
Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
Remains aware of current and potential rules and legislation and the impact of same.
Supports Workers Compensation cases as needed.
Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field and a minimum of 3 years related experience in Human Resources
Microsoft Office proficiency
Strong strategic thinking and problem solving skills: ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical HR reports, legal documents, and basic financial information
Strong interpersonal skills needed to effectively respond to common inquiries from employees, regulatory agencies or members of the business community
