Pomp’s Tire Service is immediately hiring Tire Mounters for the manufacturing facility in Bedford, PA.
The Manufacturing Tire Mounter is a fast paced, line production style position whereby accuracy and consistency are key in successfully meeting daily production targets.
The majority of the day will be spent on your feet, bending over and/or pushing/rolling off-the-road tires and wheels.
On the job training is provided.
Duties and Job Responsibilities:
• Mount single, three, and five piece wheel and off-the-road tires
• Ability to read and understand customer drawings
• Preassembly of wheels and organization or wheels and tires for mounter
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area
• Other duties as assigned by manager/supervisor
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Basic tire and tire mounting knowledge helpful
• Positive attitude, self-motivated
• Reading comprehension skills
• Productive in a team atmosphere
Special and Physical Requirements:
• Ability to move quickly with unrestricted mobility
• Able to lift up to 100lbs unrestricted with frequent lifts of 30-50lbs
• Frequent grasping with hands, bending/standing, pushing and pulling of off-the-road tires
• Availability to work overtime when required
