General Maintenance 2

UPMC Somerset is seeking a skilled General Maintenance Technician to join their team of life-changers! This position will support various areas of need within the department.
Specialty areas may include HVAC, Carpentry, Painting, Plumbing, Groundskeeping etc.
This position will work 3pm-11:30pm including rotating holidays and weekends.
Responsibilities: Maintain/prepare job site/shop.
HVAC Duties: Clean, paint, and maintain mechanical and plant rooms/centers.
Minor preventive maintenance of chillers, boilers and cooling towers.
Filter changes in air handlers, terminal devices and fan coils.
Clean coils and equipment.
*Provide Security duties as required/requested.
Carpentry Duties: Delivery and receiving materials.
ICRA for cycle maintenance.
Maintain shop stock and inventory.
Minor wall repair and preparation (nail holes, etc.
).
Perform routine repairs including ceiling tile.
Sanding and staining of wood.
Groundskeeping Duties: Assist with basic maintenance needs, as required, such as: signage maintenance (installations, upgrades, cleaning, etc.
), plumbing repairs to storm and drain areas, irrigation systems, rain conductors, etc.
and outdoor lighting repair and re-lamping.
Operate equipment including lawn care, power washers, and snow removal i.
e.
weed eaters, edgers, mowers, sprayers, hoes, shovels, hand tools, snow plows, snow blowers, motorized vehicles, etc.
, and related grounds equipment as required.
Report outdoor campus safety concerns and aesthetic issues to supervisor in writing or electronic communication.
Plumbing Duties: Assist plumbers in routine service.
Minor repairs of faucets, sink drains, and flush valves.
Minor sprinkler inspections or repairs.
Unclog drains Painting Duties: Fire stop inspections.
Mix paints/stains.
Sanding/prepare for painting.
Stenciling of equipment/walls.
Electrical Duties: Maintain, clean, and inspect electrical lockers, switch gear rooms, generator rooms, etc.
Preventive maintenance inspections of exit signs, panels and panel index.
Re-lamping and ballast replacement.
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Two years general maintenance-related work experience OR completion of a trade school required.
Military experience considered.
