J&J Truck Equipment is seeking an individual responsible for developing quotes for manufactured or sourced products for inquiries made by customers, dealers, and municipalities as well as the outside sales force.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Maintains a customer service orientation.
Makes outbound follow-up calls to potential and existing customers by telephone and e-mail to sell products and services.
Handles inbound sales calls to develop quotes.
Excellent communication skills when dealing with customers over the phone or in person.
Assists customers in choosing the most appropriate product regarding capacity and composition of material to be transported.
Contact vendors to secure pricing on plows, spreaders, hydraulic systems, tarp systems, toolboxes, ancillary accessories, and equipment that must be sourced.
Provides customers with estimated delivery dates, and proactively communicates with them if unforeseen circumstances impact when the unit will be completed.
Coordinates the change order process, makes the initial determination regarding the feasibility of the requested change, calculates cost, and communicates with customers.
If approved coordinates with Engineering, Sales, and Manufacturing.
Coordinates the pickup and delivery of units.
Safely performs duties; wears required PPE when appropriate.
Observes and complies with all the provisions of the ISO 9001 QMS.
Education and/or Experience:
Associate degree (A.
A.
) or equivalent from a two-year College or technical school; or 2 to 5 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
