As of 4/13/24 1989 with 27,595 miles and 1990 with 19,121 miles (Replacement odometer shows 33,064 miles: overstated actual mileage by 13,943 due to an odometer replacement) Both bikes in great condition! Only flaw is a dime-sized ding in the tank of the 1989.
Doesn’t appear in pics.
Paint is good.
Tires are good, seats are good, plastic is good etc.
The bikes are great but…Carol has 3 other bikes that she’s riding more often so I guess it’s time to sell the pair.
We are both 68 years old---these Hawks have not been beaten.
Rode them both about 80 miles on 4/13/2024.
Taking them out again on 4/29 New Honda oil filters & full-synthetic motorcycle-specific 10w40 prior to winterizing bikes on 10/18/23! (1989 may need a new front tire before too many more miles.
Have a good used one if you want it)
Modifications on the 1990 are: Stainless steel brake lines front & rear, front fork is upgraded, expensive $800 Penske rear shock, Michelin Pilot Road 3 radials front & rear, tank pad & Battery Tender pigtail.
Modifications on the 1989 are: Stainless steel front brake line, recent (3,023 miles) Dunlop SportMax GPR300 radial on the rear and an older Pirelli Rosso II radial up front, tank pad and a Battery Tender pigtail.
Lots of extras including a spare set of black wheels and 1 extra rear wheel (gray); two red quarter-fairings and mounting hardware (never installed); Honda service manual, and a brand-new Shinko SR741 radial rear tire.
Very good used Michelin Pilot Classic goes with the '89 if you want it.
We traveled on these bikes so I rounded-up a lot of spares to take with us, including: (5) spare throttle cables, choke cable and lever assembly, (3) clutch cables, 2 brake levers, 2 clutch levers, ignition control module, fuel tap, brake caliper rebuild kits, air cleaner to carb manifolds, jets, pegs, rebuild kits, rear drive rebuild kit, set of rear wheel hub dampers, fork seals & dust wipers, bearings, seals and circlips for both wheels and miscellaneous seals, o-rings, bulbs, cotter pins etc.
Most of these items are new in the original Honda packaging.
Never needed any of it! (“Better to have it and not need it rather than need it and not have it!”) Just rebuilt the ’90 Hawk’s front brake caliper.
These bikes are usually selling for $3,500-$4,000 but I’m willing to offer a great price on a package deal.
$5,995 OBO for both bikes and all those extras that add-up to a thousand bucks or more.
Only known flaw---left fork seal on the ’89 Hawk leaks a tiny bit.
I have new OEM seals but it’s not nearly bad enough to change yet.
Waiting until I install a new front tire.
Note: Mileage will increase as we ride these 2-3 times per month.
Here’s a couple of pics from our 2,000+ mile ride in September, 2021.
1st one is on the Blue Ridge Parkway headed south and the 2nd one is Granddaddy Mim’s Distillery in Blairsville, Georgia.

These are really great bikes with a well-deserved cult following.
Treat yourself!
Contact me to set-up an appointment to come see them.
As of now, I don’t have any interest in selling them individually.
How would I decide who gets what spares?!?! Besides, if I sell just one, I know I’ll be back on the internet looking for a 2nd one within a month…
Delivery available---depends upon when & where.
