*Job Title: *Correctional Registered Nurse
*Location:* Cumberland, MD 21502
*Contract: *13 weeks
*Shift Time:* 6:30 AM 7:30 PM
*Guarantee:* 36 Hrs.
*Role and Responsibility:*
* Conduct health assessments for inmates, including vital signs and screenings.
* Current state of RN License
* Delivers medical care: Manages chronic conditions, treats emergencies, & admins meds.
* Mental health support: Assesses & treats mental health, including substance abuse.
* Safety & security: Maintains safe environment, responds to emergencies, & upholds protocols.
* Limited diagnostics: Assesses & diagnoses within facility limitations, refers if needed.
* Collaboration: Works with officers, MH professionals, & legal teams.
* Documentation: Records patient care thoroughly & accurately.
* Education: May conduct health education programs for inmates.
* Advocacy: Champions improved healthcare access & policies.
* Unique role: Provides essential care in challenging environment.
