The Regional Coordinator of Student Programs coordinates the onboarding of new students as well as planning, implementation and evaluation of student activities.
The coordinator additionally serves as a liaison between the educational faculty/directors and Potomac Valley Hospital/Garrett Regional Medical Center leadership.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS : EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE: 1.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Education, Healthcare, Public Health, Administration, or related field OR Four (4) Years of administrative and/or educational experience EXPERIENCE: 1.
One (1) Year of Coordinator or Supervisory experience.
CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The statements described here are intended to describe the general nature of work being performed by people assigned to this position.

1.
Cultivates relationships with academic partners with the intent of introducing them to pipeline programs and/or opportunities for their students.
2.
Serves as the front-line contact with individual students and faculty across the academic footprint.
3.
Creates and executes strategies that result in students committing to Potomac Valley Hospital or Garrett Regional Medical Center as their employer of choice upon graduation.
4.
Adjusts student retention strategies, as appropriate.
5.
Assists with the development, maintenance, and revision of school contracts in collaboration with school administrators, hospital administration, and legal.
6 Ensures professional liability insurance is in place and current.
7.
Determines capacity and ability to accept students in collaboration with unit leaders.
8.
Ensures all minimum requirements are met for students and faculty.
9.
Coordinates onboarding and orientation of students and faculty.
10.
Collaborates with unit leaders and school faculty in the development, maintenance, and revision of student schedules.
11.
Develops, maintains, and revises student education campaigns.
12.
Actively participates in the marketing and recruitment process while representing the institution in a professional and positive fashion.
13.
Maintains continuous and open communication with department personnel, clinical instructors, and students with respect to changes and updates in programmatic administration, and/or instructional policies and procedures.
14.
Directs students and faculty with special concerns to the respective support agencies provided by the institution or external organizations.
15.
Participates in departmental and organizational meetings, task forces, projects, and committees, as directed, to contribute to the attainment of established goals and objectives.
