*SUMMARY*
The Vice President Supply Chain and Operations will drive bottom-line performance and improve service while creating world-class highly efficient operations and supply chains processes with skilled, motivated, and empowered teams.
The role will lead the organization through various initiatives to include the implementation of systems and processes, standardization of processes and metrics, inventory optimization and utilization, operational excellence, part pricing and margin improvement, and distribution realignment.
As a direct report to the President, the VP of Supply Chain and Operations will be a member of the executive leadership team.
The role oversees the organization’s sourcing, procurement, inventory, pricing, warehousing, distribution, facilities, and transportation functions for the Somerset, PA, Olive Branch, MS and Grand Prairie, TX sites.
*DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:* Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: · Establishing, implementing and communicating the strategic direction of the organization’s supply chain and operations functions and subfunctions and owns overall P&L responsibility of the sites.
· Collaborating with senior leadership to develop and achieve company goals while supplying expertise and guidance on operations and supply chain projects and systems · Establishing lean principles to drive efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness within warehouse facilities.
Maintaining and monitors effectiveness of lean within the organization.
· Identifying, recommending and implementing new processes, technologies, and systems to improve and streamline organizational processes and use of resources and materials.
· Identifying training needs and ensures proper training is developed and provided · Acting as a core member of the leadership team responsible for developing strategies and roadmaps to increase revenue, profits, market share, and brand awareness · Ensuring completion of all supplier related activities including supplier selections, evaluation, re-evaluation, audits, on-site visits, supplier relationships, and strategic contract negotiations · Analyzing, controlling, and managing company inventory by ensuring the compiling of weekly stock orders, along with phased delivery ordering; both, state side and internationally · Ensuring analysis of inventory and stock levels as necessary to increase customer satisfaction by reducing shortages and surplus inventory · Managing and leading supply chain and operations leaders, setting goals and strategy to ensure successful support of the organizational strategic goals · Driving strong above market on time delivery and achieve customer performance objectives · Managing pricing to support product gross margin goals and growth for the company.
*MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS* * Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Marketing, or a related discipline and a minimum of ten (10) years’ supply chain/operations experience in an automotive distribution environment with a minimum of 20,000 SKUs, or an additional 6 years relevant experience in lieu of a Master’s degree.
* Minimum of 5 years in a senior leader capacity with other senior leader direct reports.
* Knowledge and familiarity with automotive parts beyond distribution.
* Proficiency using various software, applications, and programs including Microsoft Office Suite * Demonstrated ability to manage a high volume of assignments with varying complexity and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment with integrity and professionalism * Demonstrated ability to be strategic, organized, and technologically savvy * Proven to adapt quickly and easily to changing organizational and departmental needs * Demonstrated attention-to-detail as well as organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills * Proven success working independently but collaboratively in a team environment * Demonstrated resourcefulness, sound judgement, and understand when to elevate issues due to risk or complexity * APICS certification * Travel up to 25%.
*PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS* · eCommerce fulfillment experience · Lean Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing experience · 12+ years’ experience in Supply Chain & Operations in a Senior Leader capacity.
· Public company experience The selected applicant will be subject to a background check and drug testing.
