The Continuous Improvement Manager leads us in this journey.
Position reports to the General Manager.
Positive Minded Change Agent Acts as a champion for Continuous Improvement.
Reduce and eliminate waste (non-value-added activities) using appropriate Lean and engineering tools.
Lead and ensure project follow-up documentation is complete (before/after photos, cost savings calculations, hours saved, steps saved,) and associated reports.
Promote STARS program idea collection, implementation, distribution, documentation in partnership with managers and CI technician(s).
Leadership Lead coordination for training, scheduling and leading cross-functional teams in Kaizen, Value Stream Maps, and other continuous improvement events.
Ensure continued CI training including project participation records.
Promote and participate in safety related aspects of the operations.
Effectively lead and supervise CI Technician(s) in their job responsibilities.
Lead and maintain company cost savings project records and plan utilizing current cost savings documentation system while maintaining objectivity and confidentiality where needed.
Sustain and improve our quality systems, policies, procedures, and programs focused on being the premier supplier to our customers.
Investigate, recommend, and justify equipment for improved processes through use of expense & capital expenditure processes, working closely with Manufacturing Engineering team.
Collaboration: Partner with Area Managers and Leaders on all types of CI projects (5S, Waste, Lean, Quality) Participate as an active member of Americas KPO council, including occasional business travel to continuous improvement events.
Regularly review, update, and lead ASSA ABLOY Operational Excellence related projects.
Regularly review, update, and lead ASSA ABLOY Quality Assessment related projects.
Participate in cross company CI/support events and training.
Skills/Requirements Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience.
Knowledge of Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement methods (LEAN, KAIZEN, 5S, 6 Sigma) and a passion to continuously learn more.
Excellent verbal and written communicator and able to speak in public.
Managing multiple projects and time constraints Proficiency on Microsoft Office Tools 5+ years of project management experience in a B2B environment.
Strong organizational and project management skills.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Experience working with cross-functional teams.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
