We are currently looking for a: Idlewild- Rides Supervisor Roles & Responsibilities: Roles & Responsibilities Greet all guests with a friendly smile and inviting manner! Smile and communicate with fellow team members Provide excellent customer service by engaging guests in an inviting manner and answering questions related to the attraction and park Successfully obtain IROC certification (training and certification provided by park) Maintain a vast knowledge of a group of rides in a designated zone of the park and be able to step in at an attraction when necessary Supervise and lead a team of ride operators, ensuring they are well-trained, motivated, supported, and adhering to safety and operational protocols Inspire ride operators by creating a positive and energetic atmosphere where safety and guest satisfaction are top priorities Ensure that attractions open and close at the proper times established by the operational needs of the day Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to ensure compliance with IROC standards and regulations Support ride operators by emphasizing safety, procedures, guest interaction, and efficient ride operation for your designated area Champion a guest-centric approach, ensuring that every rider has a safe, enjoyable, and memorable experience Address and resolve operational issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain a positive guest experience Maintain accurate records of incidents and operational activities Encourage team members through positive affirmation and guide by corrective action with the Ride Operations Manager when guidelines are not being followed or have been compromised Communicate any interpersonal issues between team members or guideline violations to the Rides and Attractions Manager or P&O Team immediately.
Conduct team member training and routinely complete required testing and documentation Ensure the break schedule is followed and adhere to all labor laws; manage the smooth rotation of team members throughout the day Maintain a sense of calm in tense, escalated, or emergency situations Remain vigilant regarding the identification of potential hazards and be willing to inform managers or directors of issues promptly Proactively identify areas for improvement in ride operations, safety measures and guest services Monitor the radio for team member requests and provide direct support Politely listen to guest feedback and communicate concerns to your manager Support our park through other duties as assigned by your manager Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED and 1+ years of experience in supervising a team or general amusement park experience Languages: English Basic Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years of age on the date of applying Successfully obtain IROC certification Must be able to speak and read the English language Must have a valid Driver’s License Must have reliable transportation to and from work for your scheduled shift Must work well with other team members A strong commitment to safety protocols, with the ability to instill a safety culture among team members A passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences and the ability to handle guest concerns with professionalism and efficiency The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, adapting to changing circumstances and making real-time decisions Must display a positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and professional image in compliance with Idlewild and SoakZone guidelines Requirements: Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays Must be able to work at least one (1) weekend day (Saturday or Sunday) per week throughout the operational season Must be able to work at least five (5) days per week and at least 40 hours per week from June through August (Shifts are available starting in May and continue through October.
) Working Conditions: Team Members are subject to a variety of weather conditions, including but not limited to: extreme heat, humidity, sun exposure, cold, and inclement weather.
Physical requirements include the ability to stand (for up to five hours at a time), walk long distances within the park, bend at the waist and knees and have repeated manual dexterity; the ability to carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds without assistance on a regular basis; and the ability to regularly reach above shoulder level Team member benefits: Working at Idlewild and SoakZone is about making people happy.
