*Affordable Housing Property Manager*
The Property Manager is responsible for the total operation of their assigned tenant-occupied building.
The Property Manager is responsible for ensuring that their given property operates efficiently and cost-effectively while ensuring that all regulatory requirements are adhered to in all facets of property management, tenancy, and operations.
*Job Responsibilities - Including but not limited to the following:*
* Maintain property occupancy by effectively retaining residents and successfully marketing property to attract new residents.
* Approve lease applicants.
* Administer HUD recertifications, if applicable.
* Provide customer service to residents resolving any issues that may occur and ensuring maintenance completes service requests.
* Contact and negotiate with vendors.
* Obtain bids and manage capital improvement projects.
* Maintain curb appeal by walking/inspecting property and vacant units.
* Ensure company policies and procedures are met.
* Other responsibilities as assigned/needed.
*Skills & Abilities*
* Administrative Skills – data entry, filing, answering phones.
* Communication/Language Skills – ability to communicate with all staff levels, residents, vendors and prospective residents, ability to correspond with all contacts via letters, memos, newsletters and emails.
* Computer Skills – Outlook, Excel, Word, Internet, One-Site.
* Ability to be creative in marketing, leasing, retaining residents and retaining staff.
* Other Skills – confidentiality, customer service, decision-making, patience, respect, teamwork.
*Working Conditions*
On site office environment walking may be required to reach residents depending on the scenario.
*Qualifications*
1-3 years of experience in property management required.
Experience in affordable housing preferred.
