The Department of Corrections, State Correctional Institution (SCI) at Lauren Highlands is seeking an energetic, enthusiastic, self-motivated person with the required experience to work as a Corrections Food Service Instructor.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
As a Corrections Food Service Instructor, you will function as lead worker by assigning, participating in, and reviewing routine and specialized tasks performed by inmates in the areas of pre-preparation, production, service, and baking.
You will ensure proper control over inmates by enforcing custody and security regulations, as well as inspecting all food service areas, equipment, and food for conformance with established safety and sanitation standards.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment, 40 hours per weekWork schedule will be determined by open shifts at the time of hire.
Work schedule includes rotating days off.
This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55.
Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.
Please Note: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $44,753.
