Middle School Classroom Aide

The Special Education Aide works within the life skills, learning support, and/or regular education settings to meet the academic, social, and self-care needs of special education students.
*Qualifications:* · Must meet “qualified” status per 22 PA Code Chapter 14.
105(a)(1)(iii) by meeting one of the following qualifications: Ø Completed at least 2 years of post-secondary study Ø Possesses an associate degree or higher Ø Meets a rigorous standard of quality as demonstrated through a state or local assessment · Attains a minimum of 20 hours of relevant , documented professional development, yearly · Possesses a high school diploma or GED · Possesses a child-centered attitude · Possesses a willingness to learn new skills including clerical and technological skills · Skilled in parent networking · Physically capable of accommodating the child’s or children’s condition or disability as per assignment · Current Pennsylvania Criminal History Report (Act 34) · Current Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance (Act 33) · Current Federal Criminal History Report (Act 114) · Valid PA driver’s license · A desire to interact with children Job Type: Part-time Pay: From $12.
