Job Summary As a dispatcher, you are required to answer multiple phone lines in a timely manner.
Incoming calls will be received from emergency services, such as police and 911; road-side services, such as AAA and Road America; and general civilian calls.
AAA calls are also received via fax.
The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission will provide call information via radio transmission.
You must triage calls, dispatching service first to high-priority customers, such as the turnpike, and emergency requests.
As a dispatcher, you are responsible for obtaining pertinent information regarding the type of vehicle and service requested, the location and nature of the disablement, and method of payment for service.
You will also be responsible for preparing an invoice at the time of service for non-charge account customers and collecting payment.
You are responsible for preparing estimates for customers, upon request, prior to dispatching service.
You must have a thorough knowledge of company procedures and be able to adequately explain pricing and protocol to customers upon request.
You must complete invoices for the shop, when necessary, and collect payment before the vehicle is released.

Must know where all drivers are at all times, vehicle they are in, and type of service provided.
* The ability to multi-task effectively and maintain a calm, collected demeanor while working in a fast-paced, high stress environment.
You will be required to simultaneously answer calls, collect vital information, coordinate response efforts, calculate invoices and collect payment.
* The ability to work with little or no supervision.
Minimum Requirements * High-School Diploma (or equivalent) * Dispatchers work around the clock.
Although you may primarily be hired for a specific shift, you must be flexible and available to work various shifts on an as needed basis.
Evenings, weekends and holidays are required, as this is a 24-hour facility.
Other Skills & Abilities * The ability to answer a multi-line phone system.
* Familiarity with Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.
* Familiarity with internet browsing and use of Google Maps to obtain directions, calculate estimates and provide accurate ETA’s.
