*Title: Convenience Store Crew: SAC Stores*
*Reports To: Store Manager, Assistant Store Manager*

*Job Summary*
Serves the customers cheerfully and promptly by performing all related checkout procedures at the register in a friendly, fast, efficient and accurate manner.
Accountable for all funds collected so that the drawer balances.
Prepares, stocks and maintains merchandise in the food areas according to established procedures and standards to ensure merchandise is available for customer purchases.
*Supervisory Responsibilities*
None, this is an entry level position.
*Responsibilities*
* Greets customers, maintains positive and friendly attitude and follows all company policies and procedures relating to customer check out, thereby maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
* Operates scanning equipment and register, performs all related check out procedures including properly bagging the customer’s merchandise in a fast and efficient manner.
* Accountable and responsible for all funds including cash, checks, debit and credit slips and manufacturers and in-store coupons.
Maintains proper security measures and cash drawer accounting procedures, avoiding excessive overages and shortages.
* Prepares and cooks/bakes ready to eat food such as chicken, pizza, and hoagies.
Keeps the work area sanitary and professional at all times while actively monitoring food ingredient temperature for safety and quality.
* Maintains knowledge of advertised and in-store special promotions in order to answer customer questions and to assure accuracy in ringing up customer’s merchandise.
* During “downtime” (non-ringing time) helps maintain coffee counter, racks, displays, cleans and performs safety checks of the surrounding areas.
* Remains alert to safety issues.
Pays particular attention to the entrance and exit doors to insure they are not blocked and free from slip and fall hazards.
* Performs other duties as directed by the Store Manager and Assistant Manager, including accepting responsibility for cleanliness, condition of a product group, ordering and stocking merchandise, cleanliness and condition of pump area and DSD check in.
*Education and Experience*
High School diploma or equivalent desirable.
*Knowledge and Skills*
Must be cheerful and outgoing with a positive attitude.
Should have good arithmetic skills.
Experience dealing with customers helpful, however, this position is considered entry level.
*Physical Requirements*

* Sight or peripheral vision (full awareness of surroundings)

*Working Conditions*
Ongoing interactions with customers.
Long periods of standing with some bending and
lifting in a confined area.
Limited discomfort due to temperature extremes, dust, odors,
noise, etc.
Must occasionally go into coolers, work with and around ovens, grills and
fryers.
