Pillar Innovations is now accepting applications for a full-time Electrical Engineer I.
The general role of the Electrical Engineer I – Engineering & Automation is to provide Electrical Engineering support for a wide range of projects as they progress from concept to installation.
The projects vary greatly and consist of custom electromechanical equipment, control panels, robotics, and vision systems, etc.
This individual will work in conjunction with engineers and project managers as assigned.
The work will be performed in the office, shop, and at customer sites as needed.
This individual possesses a strong understanding of electrical principles and requires an aptitude and willingness for both hands-on work in the shop or field and computer design work in an office setting.
This position must be willing and able to work a flexible schedule to include travel and overtime as needed.
Overnight travel is typically on an infrequent basis.
The Electrical Engineer I will report to an Engineer, Senior Engineer, Project Manager, or other Management as assigned and work primarily out of the Grantsville location.

Qualifications: 6 months’ - 2 years’ internship or relevant work experience preferred Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering required, Electrical Engineering degree preferred Passing FE (Fundamental Engineering Exam) preferred or willing to obtain within 1 year Valid Driver’s License Must be willing to attend training and remain updated regarding industry standards Ability to understand and interpret scope of work for specific tasks Ability to perform advanced mathematical calculations accurately Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing Ability to work well both independently and as a team Possesses proficiency in the use of personal computers including Microsoft Office Suite Proficient in the use of software packages such as AutoCAD Electrical or equivalent design software Ability to meet deadlines Willingness to stretch current abilities to learn new skills Working Conditions Walk/use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects or tools / reach with hands and arms / climb ladders and stairs / crawl/kneel Sit, talk, listen, observe, read, write, and type Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted Perform work on-site in industrial, commercial, and residential locations Additional Eligibility Qualifications Must possess a valid and appropriate state driver’s license prior to employment This position requires the completion of a thorough background and pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
