We promote from within! Position Details: * Shift: Day * Status: Full-Time Job Summary: Assists the Executive Director (or Executive Administrator) in the operation of the administrative office and administrative functions.
Essential Functions: * Treats all information about residents, their condition, and family as well as personnel matters as confidential information.
* Complies with established Corporate and Departmental policies and procedures, and maintains established standards and practices.
* Provides clerical assistance to the Executive Director such as answering telephones, word processing, receiving visitors, overseeing office supplies and equipment, confidential files, financial records, etc.
* Assists in marketing functions such as greeting guests, providing basic information, telephone screening and follow-up calling.
* Coordinates collection and preparation of operating reports.
* Enters information/data on the computer concisely, accurately and completely.
* Performs other functions as directed by the supervisor.
Qualifications: * Associate degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
* Keyboard speed of 40 wpm; ability to use computer and word processing software; knowledge of office style manual.
* Ability to read, write and understand English well.
* Possesses management ability including skills in written and verbal communication, judgment and reasoning and coaching.
* Has compassion, understanding and empathy for older persons.
* Understands management, delegation and motivational concepts.
* Ability to communicate to residents at a level they can understand.
Physical Requirements: Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
Work requires extensive work using a computer.
This position has physical and mental aspects of sedentary work in which lifting requirements are minimal.
Occasionally required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or operate computers, objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
