We're looking for a Payroll Associate with an accounting background to join our team at Timbrook Automotive.
The Payroll Associate will be responsible for the complete processing of payroll.
Reporting to the HR Manager, you will ensure all compensation is calculated correctly and paid promptly.

Key Responsibilities:
Payroll Processing
Calculate and process employee salaries, wages, bonuses, commissions, and other compensation accurately and in a timely manner.
Review and validate timesheets, attendance records, and other inputs to ensure accuracy.
Handle payroll adjustments, deductions, and changes in employee information (e.
g.
, tax withholdings, direct deposits).
Compliance and Regulations
Stay current on federal, state, and local payroll tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.

Prepare and submit payroll-related reports, filings, and documentation as required by law or regulatory agencies.
Payroll Systems Management
Utilize payroll software or systems to input data accurately and maintain payroll records.
Troubleshoot and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to payroll processing.
Collaborate with relevant department managers to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of payroll.
Record-Keeping and Reporting
Maintain comprehensive and accurate payroll records and documentation.
Generate payroll reports for management, accounting, or auditing purposes.
Assist in internal and external audits related to payroll data and processes.
Track and update all taken and remaining PTO, including all paid or unpaid leave,
Communication and Support
Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters promptly and professionally.
Coordinate with HR, finance, and other departments to ensure seamless communication and compliance with payroll-related policies and procedures.
Provide guidance and support to employees on payroll-related inquiries or processes.
Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
Proven experience (typically 2-5 years) in payroll administration or a similar role.
Proficiency in payroll software and MS Office applications, especially Excel.
Thorough understanding of payroll principles, regulations, and compliance requirements.
Strong analytical skills, numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
Excellent organizational, time-management, and multitasking abilities.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and maintain high ethical standards.
