Beitzel Corporation is now accepting applications for a full-time, Purchasing Agent.
The general role of a Purchasing Agent will be to coordinate purchasing for the company.
This position will order products and materials for company operations as well as verify, prepare, and forward the corresponding purchase orders.
The Purchaser will verify the delivery and receipt of items and authorize payment for the orders.
This position must identify the products that are to be purchased and the most appropriate supplier for the products.
This individual will have a thorough understanding of all aspects of purchasing, must be proficient with the products and services offered by Beitzel Corporation, and must be flexible and willing to work extended hours as needed.
The Purchasing Agent will report to the Director of Purchasing and will work primarily out of the Beitzel Corporate location.

Work with company department managers and project managers to determine purchasing needs and requirements, inform requestors that orders are placed, status, backorders, etc Execute invoice review, pricing verification, and payment authorization Identify and assist in the resolution of issues related to product quality, pricing, delivery, utilization, loss Help to develop and maintain relationships with suppliers Assist in setting up new vendor accounts Update company on any new products that may be more efficient or cost effective, obsolete products, product trends Other Duties This job posting is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required for this position.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Accounting or Business–Related discipline preferred or 2+ years’ experience in purchasing Experience and proficient in database management, analyzing and reporting data regarding inventory issues, results, trends, solutions Strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task and ability to exercise independent judgment Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point) Must be detail-oriented Excellent communication skills, both in oral and written medium This position is subject to the Beitzel Corporations Drug and Alcohol Testing Policy which includes: pre-employment, post-accident, random, reasonable suspicion, return to duty, and follow-up testing Working Conditions Sit, talk, listen, observe, read, write and type Regularly walk, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds Additional Eligibility Qualifications Must possess or be able to obtain a valid and appropriate state driver’s license prior to employment.
