Beitzel Corporation is now accepting applications for a full-time, Purchasing Assistant.
As a Purchasing Assistant, the general role will assist in purchasing for the company.
This position will order products and materials for company operations as well as verify, prepare, and forward the corresponding purchase orders.
The Purchasing Assistant will assist the purchasing team in verifying the delivery and receipt of items and authorizing payment for the orders.
This individual will have an understanding of all aspects of purchasing and must be proficient with the products and services offered by Beitzel Corporation and must be flexible and willing to work extended hours as needed.
The Purchasing Assistant will report to the Director of Purchasing and will work primarily out of the Beitzel Corporate location.

Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED Equivalent Associate degree in Accounting or Business–Related discipline preferred or 2+ years’ experience in purchasing Experience and proficient in database management, analyzing and reporting data regarding inventory issues, results, trends, solutions Strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task and ability to exercise independent judgment Proficiency in Vista by Viewpoint, and the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point) Must be detail-oriented Excellent communication skills, both in oral and written medium Working Conditions Sit, talk, listen, observe, read, write and type Regularly walk, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds Additional Eligibility Qualifications Must possess or be able to obtain a valid and appropriate state driver’s license prior to employment.
