SUMMARY
Responsible for properly performing all financial activities related to the General Ledger Accounting activities of the Finance Department, in accordance with established policies, procedures and controls.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Reconciles all balance sheet accounts in a timely, effective manner.
Prepares and distributes daily cash report.
Enters information into the general ledger accounts journal.
Balances fixed assets accounts.
Prepares monthly financial analysis of general ledger accounts for the Director Finance.
Facilitates the flow of information throughout the property, by attending regularly scheduled departmental meetings.
Held accountable, to a high degree, for the accuracy, confidentiality, and thoroughness of departmental records and reports.
Perform other duties as assigned
REPORTING LINE
You will report directly to the Accounting Manager and then the Director of Finance.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Strong organizational and analytical skills required
Must have excellent communication skills, be polite, and present a neat appearance at all times.
The ability to work with others as a team in an efficient manner.
The ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide
Able to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as policy and procedure manuals, maintenance instructions, and other related documents in English.
The ability to work in a fast–paced environment and stressful situations.
Must be able to pass a background investigation and obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company.
The ability to verify the right to work in the United States.
EDUCATIONAL AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related area.
A minimum of four to six years of experience in accounting preferred.
Minimum of one (1) year experience in general ledger accounting, with a concentration on balance sheet reconciliations, fixed assets, financial analysis, and spreadsheet creation required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the property for prolonged periods of time.
Ability to push, pull, bend, reach, squat, kneel, crawl, twist, sit, climb, balance, carry and lift to 50 lbs.
Constant use of hearing, speech, vision (including distinguishing between shades of color), radios, and tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity.
Work for sustained periods of time maintaining concentrated attention to detail.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Will be exposed to working in a noisy environment and seasonal elements.
