SUMMARY
Responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operation and direct supervision of assigned activities within the Finance department.
Oversee overall department and/or shift(s) as assigned.
Ensure daily operations and experiences meet guest expectations.
Appropriately respond to and manage any escalated departmental concerns and guest and/or team member challenges.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist with training, developing, measuring performance, disciplining, and/or scheduling department staff, as assigned
Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations, as they apply to the position
Access funds and ensures prompt distribution to appropriate areas of property.
Maintains adequate staffing levels in the Cage Club Division of the Finance Department, by training, scheduling, evaluating, assisting with career development, and disciplining employees as needed.
Ensures the integrity of all financial and customer data produced by employees under his/her span of control.
Monitors all financial and data activities on property, which relate to Cage/Club, to ensure that all applicable laws, rules, regulations and controls of the business enterprise, the Federal and State Tax Commissions, and the Gaming Commission are enforced throughout the property.
Assists with the coordination of audits relating to bank boards, guest deposits and rotation logs.
Assists the Cage/Club employees in understanding the complexities of certain responsibilities within the department.
Ensures a maximum level of property-wide service and satisfaction, with respect to the Cage/Club Division of the Finance Department, is achieved and maintained.
Facilitates the flow of information throughout the property, by organizing and presiding over regularly scheduled meetings with all employees under his/her span of control.
Held accountable, to a high degree, for the accuracy and thoroughness of departmental records and reports.
Brings concerns and/or problems and unusual guest activities to the attention of the Cage/Club Manager.
Provide outstanding guest service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members that meets the company’s guest service culture standards
All other duties as assigned.
REPORTING LINE
You will report directly to the Cage and Club Manager and then the Director of Finance.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Must have excellent communication skills, be polite, and present a neat appearance at all times.
The ability to work with others as a team in an efficient manner.
Strong organizational skills required
Proven experience providing high level of guest service
The ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
The ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent, and to interpret data from graphs
The ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as policy and procedure manuals, maintenance instructions, and other related documents
The ability to write effective reports and memos
Must respond to inquiries from employees or guests
The availability to work all shifts.
The ability to work in a fast–paced environment and stressful situations.
Must be at least 21 years old to work on the gaming floor inside the casino.
Must be able to pass a background investigation and obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company, including gaming license through MLGCA.
The ability to verify the right to work in the United States.
EDUCATIONAL AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
Some college courses in banking and finance or related area preferred.
Minimum of one (1) year experience in Casino credit operations or related area preferred.
Must possess excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
Must be extremely numbers-oriented.
Must be able to master the casino’s slot accounting and player tracking system.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the property for prolonged periods of time.
Ability to push, pull, bend, reach, squat, kneel, crawl, twist, sit, climb, balance, carry and lift to 50 lbs.
Constant use of hearing, speech, vision (including distinguishing between shades of color), radios, and tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Will be exposed to working in a noisy environment and seasonal elements.
The employee is regularly exposed to risk of radiation (from computers), as a great deal of the workday is spent working on spreadsheets or inputting data into the computer system.
