The general role of the Accounting Assistant – Fabrication & Machining is to support the accounting functions of the Fabrication & Machining Division.
The Accounting Assistant is responsible for administrative support, utilizing tracking software to open and close jobs, enter employee time, equipment usage, prepare, and send customer invoices, and other office tasks as assigned.
This individual will have a basic understanding of accounting principles and must become proficient with the products and services offered by the company.
The Accounting Assistant will report to the Office Administrator – Fabrication & Machining and will work primarily out of the Fabrication Shop location.

Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED required with preference granted to those with an Associates Degree in accounting or business-related field and/or equivalent work-related experience Minimum of 1-year customer service experience with preference granted to those with 1+ years of experience working as a receptionist in a professional office or an accounting role Excellent phone etiquette and verbal communication skills MS Office Experience (Word, Excel, Outlook) Able to work with minimum supervision Customer service driven Able to multi-task Professional appearance Must be punctual, dependable, trustworthy, work well with co-workers, and have a positive attitude Willing to work individually or in a team environment Prior accounting experience preferred but not required This position is subject to the Beitzel Corporations Drug and Alcohol Testing Policy which includes: pre-employment, post-accident, random, reasonable suspicion, return to duty, and follow-up testing Working Conditions Sit, talk, hear, read, write, and type Regularly walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb ladders and stairs; and crawl Must be willing and able to work a flexible and extended schedule with overtime Must be safety and customer-focused, without exception Required safety equipment: protective eye wear, hard hat, and hearing protection Additional Eligibility Qualifications This position requires the completion of a thorough background and pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
