Job Description:
The Painter will a safe, efficient, well-maintained hotel environment and provide assistance in all operational aspect of the Engineering Department; maintain both front and back of the house to includes public areas to meet the expectations of the Omni Standards; and respond to all maintenance requests in a timely and efficient manner to ensure proper guest service standards are being met.
Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Maintain (paint, wallpaper, plaster, etc.
) all public areas and guest rooms on an on-going basis.
Exterior painting of guest entrances, porches, outdoor pool area and most other exterior painted surfaces.
Keep the hotel decor in good condition.
Clean all work areas after completing job.
Maintain a Daily Work log through PBX, Synergy and Engineering administration.
Have a thorough understanding of Omni's fire alarm procedures and other emergencies.
Have a thorough understanding of Omni Hotel rules and regulations.
HOTEL SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS:
Maintain all furniture, fixtures, and equipment in guestrooms and public areas.
Receive direction for engineering calls via radio and report back upon completion.
Clean all work areas after completing a project.
Work a rotating schedule as needed
Support weekend shifts both Saturday & Sunday.
Snow removal during inclement weather.
Support the maintenance & Upkeep of the entire Resort both inside & out.
Qualifications:
Painting and maintenance experience is required
Basic electrical/mechanical/plumbing skills are required that includes lighting fixtures and ballast replacement
Must have working knowledge of various building related repairs, i.
e.
door locks, closures, carpet repair, painting
Ability to work independently with little or no supervision to complete assigned tasks
Ability to communicate effectively
